The weather is cooling and the holiday rush is nearing. Pumpkin food and beverages abound. I am enjoying September and releasing The Coffee Stop series!
Though I’ve imbibed in my fair share of pumpkin lattes, I tried my hand recently at making a Toby’s toasted marshmallow latte from Americano Afternoons, book two of The Coffee Stop series. The homemade toasted marshmallow syrup was the tricky part for me. Admittedly, I ignored the recipe’s instructions to strain it, which I’m sure kept it from being nice and foamy. I may try again…
In Americano Afternoons the late Toby Platt was a founder of The Coffee Stop. When co-founder Lucas Williams tells Toby’s twin, Louisa, that their longtime friend Danny Brenner was responsible for memorializing Toby by asking for Toby’s toasted marshmallow latte to be added to the menu, Louisa’s feelings for Danny deepen beyond friendship.
I am finally close to finishing The Coffee Stop series! Espresso in the Morning, second edition, released on August 4th and is currently available in paperback and ebook. The first edition was released by Harlequin in 2012. As an indie writer I’m happy to have been able to rewrite this book to better reflect my original vision. Thanks to all who preordered/ordered it, especially those who have left reviews. I appreciate you so much!

Hope you’re enjoying cooler temperatures. On one of my walks last week I spotted my first Christmas tree, all decorated and lit. It made me smile. Before long, we’ll be in the thick of the holidays.
